A Note From Your Publisher

Hello Moms and Dads,

Every year, I leave the country during the winter holidays, but this season I decided to stay at home, well, not precisely; I went to Southern California to visit my older children, but more specifically, to meet my youngest grandson, let me tell you, he is absolutely beautiful.

I had the opportunity to enjoy the company of my children for two whole weeks; we went to the movies, we enjoyed a walk in Huajome Regional Park, went to LEGOLAND, had a picnic on the beach; I read a book by Ken Follett, one of my favorite authors, my kids did all the cooking and cleaning; I just relaxed like I hadn't done in a long time.

The holidays are over and I return to my daily routine, but with renewed energies and ready for new personal and professional challenges; and with the intention of attending as many events as possible. I want to take this opportunity to congratulate Lindsey Williams for being the winner of the children board games giveaway and to Sharon Harrington for winning four tickets to go to the Monster Jam event; by the way I am excited that tonight, my children and I will also be attending the al Monster Jam at the Golden 1 Center

For many of us a three-day weekend is approaching, and with it many things to do; I have neglected my garden a bit in recent months, but I found a good article on the Sperbeck’s Nursery’s website, under THINGS TO DO IN YOUR GARDEN IN JANUARY; it contains excellent gardening tips, so I will take advantage of one of these days that I have free time, to implement some of the suggestions in the article.

On Saturday, I will participate in  the 21ST Annual DR. Luther King Jr. Celebration and Unity March, which will take place in Yuba City-Marysville. I am inviting you to participate in the march, but if you are unable to attend, please read the article Martin Luther King Jr. Day: A National Day of Service, it provides a list of ways to involve children in activities that would benefit our community.

There is another alternative; January 20th is one of the Fee Free Day at National Parks in 2020. Here is a detailed list of the National Parks in California; pick your favorite and head out to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

As always, I wish you to find your family fun!
