A Note From Your Publisher: Info on Yuba-Sutter. Event Cancellations

Coronavirus means the situation is changing quickly

March 20, 2020

This is an uncertain time, and things seem to be changing by the day -- if not the hour -- with coronavirus and the reaction to it, as health officials and the government try to slow its spread.

Events taking place in Yuba-Sutter are being canceled and I have marked them as such on the events calendar as I hear about them. But I always recommend verifying event details with the venue before you attend, and it is especially important to do so right now as Yuba-Sutter events may be canceled with little to no notice.

Macaroni Kid Yuba-Sutter will update our calendar as we hear of cancellations. For instance, Home Depot and Lowe's have canceled their kids' workshops nationwide for the time being. Yuba and Sutter County Libraries are closed. Yuba Sutter Arts and Sutter County Museum canceled their public events. Artisan Community Garden canceled their events for the month of March.

Playzeum Yuba-Sutter will remain close until April 3, 2020; by then, they will notify of any updates or changes in that timeline. If you are enroll in the FLIP program, go to https://www.yubasutterplay.org/flip for details about their virtual version in YouTube, click in the link for details, or visit their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/PlayzeumYubaSutter/

If you hear of any event cancellations not reflected on the Macaroni Kid Yuba-Sutter events calendar, please reach out to me at bettysanchez@macaronikid.com or on our Facebook page and I will update the calendar.
