Monster Jam Triple Threat Series Review

By Betty Sanchez/Macaroni Kid Yuba-Sutter January 18, 2020

My children and I spent a spectacular night at the Monster Jam Triple Threat Series event, which was presented yesterday at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento. It was my first time attending the Golden 1 Center and a Monster Jam show; I was impressed by the installations and the organization of the event; the families really had fun, it was exciting to see the children screaming and being surprised with the maneuvers of the participants.

It was a great event; loud, but totally fun. The eight participants, Grave Digger, El Toro Loco, Zombie, Megalodon, Soldier Fortune Black Ops, Scooby-Doo, Monster Mutt and Earth Shaker competed with each other in a tough battle for the Monster Jam World Finals. The drivers were performing dangerous and fun acts competing in the challenging categories of, 2-Wheel Skill Challenge, Donut Competition, Speedster Obstacle Course, Freestyle Competition, Backflip Stunts and different Racing Competitions.

The audience cheered with shouts to their favorites, and they participated in the online vote which determined the winner. The favorites among the crowd were Grave Digger and Earth Crasher, but in the end, Grave Digger driven by Brandon Vinson was the winner.

Some children attending the event won tickets to go to the Monster Jam World Finals XXI in Orlando Florida, as well as passes for Disney On Ice presents Mickey’s Search Party to be presented at the Golden 1 Center on February 13-17; other children got Monster Truck toys.

It was a fun night for the whole family, we sang the national anthem, we shouted, we laughed, we danced, the adrenaline was in full swing, the excitement was felt in the air; we went home talking about what we liked most about the event; in my family we agreed that the freestyle competition was the best of the night.

Don't miss the opportunity to find your family fun in the Monster Jam.
