Hello Moms and Dads!

This week, my son and I plan to attend several events in the community, he wants to go to the Millennium Family Entertainment Center, to a children’s workshop to see and learn about birds, and to celebrate the third anniversary of Sawyer’s Sweet Spot for a shave ice and to participate in the candy canvas contest; I want to go to the Winter vegetables  and the composting seminars, to the art educator artists’ reception, and to the third Sunday Jazz Jam, so we will organize our time to attend events that we both enjoy. There are more than 20 events in the Macaroni Kid calendar for this weekend, check them out, and plan your family fun!

Don't forget that on September 19th, Bright Futures will be at E Center Head Start at Cooper Avenue, in Yuba City, providing screenings, resources, and activities for children 0 - 5.

If you are organizing an event that is open to the public, you can share it here.

On behalf of two of your fellow subscribers, I am going to make two announcements, the first one is in regards of the opening of a new family child care for children 0 – 10,in the Olivehurst area; call the number on the card to obtain more information. The owner has a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, and many years of experience working with young children.

The second announcement is for families whose children study at home, it is a support group for the Marysville and Yuba City areas to share ideas, plan events for teenagers, field trips, and more, if you are interested, or know someone who can benefit from homeschooling support, share the support group information.

Next week, I will be attending a Macaroni Kid conference in Southern California; I will attend workshops, and will meet publishers from other cities and states.  There will be giveaways upon my return, stay tuned.
