About Macaroni Kid Yuba - Sutter Edition
I am Elizabeth and the proud mother of a beautiful 11 year old named Caitlyn. I'm currently expecting and due on St. Patrick's day which is nice because daddy and I are both mostly Irish. We're hoping for a boy!
I am prior Air Force as a computer operator and have spent the last 6 years at Yuba College where I obtained AS degrees in Accounting, Bus Comp Apps and Tax Preparation. I was fortunate enough to get a part-time postition in the college's Fiscal Dept and have been there for over 4 years. I am currently pursuing my BA in Psychology with an emphasis on child psych & development.
I have lived in 7 different states being from a military family and active duty myself and landed here in California about 7 years ago. I'm here to stay and live in Plumas Lake, Ca.
Although I haven't lived here long, I have lived here long enough to see that a publication that brings the community and families together is much needed! In a small town you would think there are limited activities for children, but quite honestly there are a lot. Too easily children are sent off to do who knows what with their friends or end up in front of the computer or some other form of technology. And while there are definately pluses to that there are also negatives. What happened to the rules of being outside during the day let alone spending quality time as a family. I want to help change that!
Macaroni Kid Yuba-Sutter is here to bring together our communities, families and businisses. I will publish our weekly newsletter that will have weekly local events, recipes, arts and crafts and other family friendly material.
